Haidong Shipyard is a state-owned shipbuilding enterprise founded in 1958.
The Shipyard located in No. 286 Waisha Road, Jiaojiang District, Taizhou City, Zhejiang Province covers a building area of 280mu and enjoys a coastline which is more than 700m long. At presently, the Shipyard possesses more than 1,000 employees, including more than 100 medium and senior professional technicians. As a National First-class Level II Steel Shipbuilding Enterprise and the Vice President Unit of Zhejiang Association of Shipbuilding, the enterprise has passed certification of the quality management system, occupational health and safety management system, environmental management system, energy management system and the IT application and industrialization integration management system.
The enterprise mainly has the following production facilities and equipment: 6 large slipways (the largest one is 50,000 tonnage) and supporting segmented slipways; 12 large cranes (the largest one is 300 tonnage), ten thousands of tonnage of outfitting wharf, 5,000m2 PSPC painting and coating workshop for two times of painting and two times of coating, 320t self-propelled flat car and a complete set of planking processing and plasma cutting equipment, etc.

The enterprise also possesses sound production, safety, technology and inspection institutions as well as supporting management, has formulated a full set of safety management system, environment management system, safety operation procedures and technical process operation instructions that are suitable for its practical situation. ERP and CAD technologies have been widely applied in corporate management and shipbuilding.
Over ten years, Haidong Shipyard has devoted itself to building oil tankers / chemical ships (including stainless steel oil and chemical tankers) featured with a high added value and a high technical content, has consecutively built more than 100 various types of ships for domestic and overseas shipowners, including oil and chemical tankers, container ships, bulk cargo ships, engineering ships, etc. Haidong's product quality has been highly praised by shipowners and classification societies.
